About Hutchinson Community Foundation
For more than 35 years, Hutchinson Community Foundation has been working to multiply the impact of charitable giving by connecting community members, nonprofits, and other partners to brighten the future of Hutchinson and Reno County through philanthropy.
We work with individuals, families and professional advisors to engage and educate you about the issues affecting our community and how to make a greater impact with your giving. We provide administrative support and fiscal stewardship, encourage innovative thinking and share community knowledge.

Hutchinson Community Foundation is passionate about making a difference in the Hutchinson and Reno County area.
We’ve been working for more than 35 years to bring changemakers together around the greatest opportunities to create a thriving community for all people.
Why We Joined The Program
We launched the Love Where You Live Community Empowerment Initiative with Innovation Economy Partners to provide Reno County communities with data and process so they can prioritize and plan for a great future.
The information collected from this program is helping Hutch CF understand how to leverage its grantmaking fund, outside funding sources, and donor passions to accelerate progress within communities and across the county.
Major Goals
With a mission to inspire philanthropy, leadership and collaboration to strengthen Reno County, we seek these long-term community outcomes:
- A strong, diverse and inclusive local economy
- Healthy, connected people and neighborhoods
- A place with a culture of shared ownership, pride and belonging
Accomplishments
- Increased grant proposals
- New energy in business and workforce development across Reno County
- Blight removal and improvements to public infrastructure
- Continuing strides in improving child care and housing
- More civic involvement, especially in rural parts of Reno County
