The vision of South Cumberland Community Fund is that the Plateau is a place of hope and prosperity for all its residents and communities, inspired by the Fund’s philanthropic and regional leadership. We do this work by collaborating with the communities of the South Cumberland Plateau to seek common solutions for this place that we call home.

Why We Joined the Program
South Cumberland Community Fund (SCCF) was established to improve the quality of life across the South Cumberland Plateau by increasing philanthropic giving and providing community leadership. It aims to foster hope and prosperity for all residents and communities on the Plateau, particularly in an area that has faced decades of disinvestment. We joined the program to help ease the path for residents of the South Cumberland Plateau to find the resources and opportunities they need to thrive and feel at home here.

Accomplishments
- $1.7 million in grants awarded to local organizations
- $750,000 invested in additional community convenings
- Over 70 local nonprofits served in our area
- Completed a Health Equity Plan for the South Cumberland Plateau as a result of a Healthy Built Environment grant funded by the Tennessee Department of Health
- Awarded a $2.1 million grant in 2025 by the TN Department of Health’s Health Resiliency Program to create a rural health transportation network to serve the Plateau
