In collaboration with the University of the South, South Cumberland Community Fund began to co-host the South Cumberland Plateau (SCP) AmeriCorps VISTA Project in 2014, bringing as many as 16 VISTA members to the Mountain to serve at nonprofit sites across the Plateau. Today, since the VISTA program has been sun-setted, the Community Fund is co-hosting a new AmeriCorps volunteer program, providing funding for local organizations’ host fees and administrative support through our Capacity Building Fund.
